Barbara Ann Corcoran

 Barbara Ann Corcoran was a businesswoman, investor and speaker from the United American. The Corcoran Group, an NY-based real estate broker was established by Corcoran. NRT bought it in 2001 for $66 million. Corcoran later left the business. Corcoran, one of ABC's first Shark investors, has been a part of every episode of Shark Tank. Corcoran had signed 53 contracts in February of 2020. Her biggest deal was her $350,000 investment in Coverplay with a 40% stake. Corcoran was born in Edgewater (New Jersey) as the second child of ten in a Catholic Irish working class family.  Her mother, Florence, was a homemaker. Edwin W. Corcoran Jr. his father was a multi-talented worker throughout Corcoran's childhood. The family relied sometimes on free delivery of food from a nearby supermarket. Corcoran is still able to remember her father as someone who would drink occasionally and treated her mother with disrespect. Corcoran struggled through her schooling and was eventually diagnosed with dyslexia. Corcoran attended an Catholic elementary school in her area and began high school at St. Cecilia High School, Englewood. Corcoran was fluent in several courses during her freshman year. She transferred to Leonia High School and graduated with a D.
