Kamala Harris

Kamala Devi Harris is an American politician. Born on the 20th of October 1964, she was the 49th Vice President of the United States. She is also the first female vice-president and highest-ranking female official of U.S. History, as being the first African American and second Asian American vice president. A member of the Democratic Party, she has been the attorney general of California between 2011 and 2017 and was a United States senator representing California until 2021. Harris was born in Oakland and attended Howard University, University of California, Hastings College of the Law. Harris began her career at the Alameda County District Attorney's Office. Then, she was recruited by the San Francisco District Attorney's Office. In 2003, she was the San Francisco district attorney. Harris was elected Attorney-General of California in 2010 and was elected again in 2014. Harris served as the junior United States senator from California from 2017 to 2021. Harris defeated Loretta Sanchez in the 2016 Senate election, becoming the second African American woman and the first South Asian American to serve in the United States Senate. Harris was a senator who fought for health care and federal de-scheduling of cannabis. The path to citizenship for immigrants who are not legally recognized. The DREAM Act bans assault weapons and progressive tax reform. Her name is well-known due to the direct questioning she conducted of Trump government officials during Senate hearings.

 Lara Logan, born 29/03/71 is an South African television journalist and war reporter. She was an CBS News journalist from 2002 to 2018.60 Minutes executive producer Jeff Fager called her factually wrong and politcally biased story regarding the 2012 Benghazi terrorist attack "the greatest mistake on my 10-year-old television." She was a member of Sinclair Broadcast Group (a conservative media organization) in the year 2019. In January 2020, she joined Fox Nation, a subscription streaming service owned by Fox News.  Miller Gaffney ’02 and Carol Lee Pryor Brosseau ('03) host "Art Breakers," that premieres on Sunday night on Ovation the cable channel. It focuses on their lives as art brokers, who work with collectors, artists and buyers. Four episodes were recorded by the couple, and will air for the entire month of October beginning on October 4th, starting at 7 pm Central. Ovation is home to more than 50MM subscribers, promotes artists through the Ovation digital arts network. They're hopeful of receiving the green light to film more.
